We are the student organization which provide internet to the residents in ALOES, Metz, France.

General rules
Your Internet connection will neither be metered nor watched but some few rules apply.
Since you will be on a French university network (Renater) our outside traffic is very regulated

If the provider detects a Virus/Malware/Trojan/... trying to connect to a remote server or (to) spread across the network, it will send us an email with your IP address and we will have to restrict your access until we can solve the issue
- Beware that some cheap phones from unknown brands come preloaded with malware that trigger this
Any illegal activity (in France) will be reported
Any illegal P2P download (such as pirate torrents) will trigger an alert and may result in the ban of all the dorm for a few years
Don't try to spread malware inside the network as it will result in an immediate suspension of your account, and may end up with legal procedures.
Don't try to spread your own WiFi without asking us first.
The registration process
You will soon receive an email asking you to set your password for your Rézo account.
Once set, you will be able to connect to https://re2o.rezometz.org with the following credentials:
- Pseudo (means username) : Lastname_Firstname
- Mot de passe (means password) : the password you have just chosen
- Tip : if you ever lose your password, click on "Mot de passe oublié ?" ("Forgot your password ?") and type-in your username and email address to be able to choose a new one.
Registering a device
If you use only WiFi, you can skip this part. However, we strongly recommend that you use ethernet if you can, not only because it is faster, but also because the WiFi is not spread everywhere in the dorm.
Next you will need to register your devices. To do so, click on "Voir mon profil" on the right (or on the bottom).
And then press on the "Ajouter une machine" ("Add a device") button.

You need to reiterate the last steps to add all your devices.
We recommend that you complete the registration process before you arrive in the dorm because it will save you time and it will make it easier for us to help you if necessary.
The payment procedure
If you are an undergraduate student, GTL has already paid your connection. Thus you can skip this part.
Our standard price is €5 a month
You can either pay online with your credit card or come to the C001 appartment to pay your Internet access for the following months.
Paying with your credit card
Connect to https://re2o.rezometz.org/ and click on "Access my profile"
On your profile page, click on the 'Pay for a connexion' button
Then choose the right articles. As an example if you stay four months :
Please, note that if you stay more than 8 months, it is cheaper to pay one year ('Abonnement 12 mois').
Finally you only need to follow the steps by confirming then paying.
The device setup
Inside the dorm you will find both a Wi-Fi and a wired connection
The wired connection
Every room of the dorm provides an ethernet outlet.
If you completed the previous steps you just have to plug a cable in and you will be good :-)
Please note that while we can lend you an ethernet cable for free, you will have to request it and wait a few days because we are currently on holidays. Please remember to give it back when you leave by putting it in the blue box in the mail room.The Wi-Fi connection
On Windows
If you are a Windows user, you can download this script which will setup the WiFi for you. Then, you will need to enter your username and the password you set up earlier.

Unfortunately this process can't be done outside the dorm so please keep this pdf on your phone to be sure you have it when you arrive.
Our Wi-Fi network is called "rezo"
When you try to join in, it will ask you some options (if some options are not asked, ignore it):
